The Fellowship of the Ring has now divided and Sam and Frodo are lost in the hills of Emyn Muil. They are also being followed by Gollum, a creature who promises to help them find the Mountain of Doom. Meanwhile Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli search for the hobbits Merry and Pippin in the Kingdom of Rohan, which is currently being attacked by Saruman's orc armies. Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White to remind Aragorn of his destiny to unite the people of Rohan with Gondor. Whilst the Fellowship are not travelling together they must unite against the powerful forces coming from the Two Towers: Orthanc Tower in Isengard where Saruman has bred a deadly army of 10,000, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dûr.

The critically acclaimed ITV drama series returns for a second season. The story begins with the discovery of a body; this time the perfectly preserved remains of a middle-aged man found in a sealed suitcase in the silt of the River Lea in North East London. As Cassie and Sunny begin the complicated task of trying to identify the victim, we will meet four unconnected people who we suspect are linked in some way to the victim.
A young gay man, Harry (John Hannah), leaves behind the city and the unsatisfying twilight world of its gay club scene to head for the coast. While on a deserted beach he has an unusual meeting with Flint (Bernard Hill), overtly heterosexual but with a murky past. Sheltering in an abandoned cottage their mutual distrust melts away and they begin to open up to each other.
In this book Johnny Bernard Hill argues that prophetic rage, or righteous anger, is a necessary response to our present culture of imperialism and nihilism. The most powerful way to resist meaninglessness, he says, is refusing to accept the realities of structural injustice, such as poverty, escalating militarism, genocide, and housing discrimination.Hill's Prophetic Rage is interdisciplinary, integrating art, music, and literature with theology. It is constructive, passionate, and provocative. Hill uses multiple sources and approaches, including liberation theology and black religion, to reflect theologically on the nature of liberation, justice, and hope in contemporary culture. This book is the fourth volume of the rapidly emerging Prophetic Christianity series, edited by Bruce Ellis Benson, Malinda Elizabeth Berry, and Peter Goodwin Heltzel.
All five episodes of Alan Bleasdale's gritty Eighties drama. 'Jobs for the Boys', tells the story of an unofficial building gang being watched by the Department of Employment. Their raid ends in tragedy. In 'Moonlighter', Dixie uncovers things he does not want to know about while he is working illegally at the docks, and his wife is frightened of opening the door because of the Department of Employment. In 'Shop Thy Neighbour', Chrissie has his dole stopped after the moonlighting affair, and times become harder and harder. 'Yosser's Story' features Yosser's struggle to find work and retain custody of his three children, set against his slide into depression and instability. And finally, in 'George's Last Ride' George, the one character left unbroken by adversity, dies, but his legacy is discovered by Chrissie.
